Unable to add an agent or collect from a laptop previously removed from domain.

I have a laptop that's original was associated to one of my custodians.  Once the user was terminated in our system the laptop was removed from the domain.  I had out desktop team add the desktop back to the domain so that I could collect the device.  I can see the device on the network but I'm having problems adding the agent so that I can collect the device. We have AD eDiscovery. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.
