Question

Can I perform an MSSQL edition upgrade (e.g., SQL Express to Standard or Enterprise) for Summation or eDiscovery?

Answer

Yes.  Below are the SQL upgrades supported by Microsoft.  If not supported by Microsoft, the upgrade will also be unsupported by AccessData.

Overview

This information has been tested using the instructions in the articles above.  If moving SQL from one instance to a different instance, this not supported without engaging with AccessData's Services team as it requires custom scripts and procedures.
