Can't Login to SummPro / eDiscovery - White Screen

Problem

When attempting to login to Summation or eDiscovery, the credentials entered are cleared out and the page refreshes with no login failure message.  In some cases, the following IE warning will appear.

In other cases, only the page will refresh with no errors on the page, system logs, or application logs.

 

Resolution

This issue was resolved by disabling IE Enhanced Security Configuration (ESC) in the Server Manager and then using the server hostname rather than localhost for the application URL. 

 

Cause

This issue is caused by security settings on the server and/or browser being used.  The specific security configuration is yet to be determined.
