When using Integrated Windows Authentication, IE presents a "Windows Security" dialog instead of logging straight in.

  1. In Internet Explorer open "Internet Options"
  2. Open the "Security" tab
  3. Click "Custom level..."
  4. Scroll to the bottom to find the "User Authentication" options
  5. If you use an internal machine name or "localhost" to access Summation/eDiscovery, select the option "Automatic logon only in Intranet zone", otherwise select "Automatic logon with current user name and password", then click OK

Internet Explorer is not set to pass through Windows/domain credentials.

Passing through Windows/domain credentials to a non-Intranet zone can introduce potential security risks.
