Introduction
If you install or move ElasticSearch or Cassandra after installing Summation/eDiscovery, you may need to point to its new location before you can use the KFF.
Note: In any multi-box distributed installation, you must always point to the KFF by machine name.
Procedure
- On the machine with FTK Business Services (the App Server), open “C:\Program Files\AccessData\Common\FTK Business Services\ AdgWindowsServiceHost.exe.config” in a text editor.
- Near the end of the file, locate the
<appSettings>…</appSettings>
flags. - Find the "KffElasticSearchUrl" or "KFFServerUrl" key, and change it to reflect the appropriate hostname and port.
- Save and close the file.
- Restart the “AccessData Business Services Common” Service.
How will this impact earlier cases?
Earlier cases would still try to look for the old location, unless certain things in those case databases are changed. That's be something you'd want to contact Support for directly.
