How can I redirect the IIS homepage to Summation?

 

Answer

Below are instructions for creating an automatic redirect in IIS for Windows Server 2008 R2:
 
1. Backup the file "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\iisstart.htm" (make a copy)
2. Edit the original by replacing contents with (Make sure to backup the original file first!!!):
 
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=https://[Hostname]/adg.map.web/" />
</head>
</html>
 
3. Save the file
4. Clear cache and cookies in the browser
