Question

How can I change the Summation/eDiscovery website timeout?

Answer

  1. On the server hosting AccessData MAP, navigate to "<drive>:\Program Files\AccessData\MAP".
  2. Make a copy/backup of "web.config".
  3. Open the original "web.config" in a text editor.
  4. Locate the lines below and change the values to the number of minutes you'd like the timeout to be
    <sessionState timeout="180" />

    <forms name=".ADG.WebLab_ASPXAUTH" timeout="180" slidingExpiration="true" loginUrl="Login.aspx" />

    Note: Both values must be the same.

  5. Save the changes.
  6. Open a Command Prompt (as Administrator).
  7. Run the command iisreset.

Overview

By default, the website is set to log you out after 180 minutes of inactivity.  This article explains how to change that session length.

Applies to

Summation Pro version 5.x and above

AD Ediscovery version 5.x and above
